December 31, 1879 ~ Wednesday

31 I spent most of the day in studying Arizona Law
concerning my tithing in 1879 My being away from
home my family looked to me to settle it on my return
I find ownly $50 credit on my tithing for this year

I have looked over my Journal for 1879 and a synopsis of
my travels & labors are recorded on the following Page

I Travelled 2903 Miles 2903 M. I held 125 Meetings 125 Meet I Preached 119 Discourses 119 Dis I Attended 12 Stake Conferences 12 Con I preached 4 funeral sermon & Administered to 24 sick I wrote 394 Letters And received 199 Letters I sealed at the Altar 94 couple. I was sealed at the Altar For 141 couple of Dead friends, 113 dead friends sealed to me I had 26 Persons Adopted to me. I ordained 1 Patriarch, 14 High Priest, 41 Bishop, 1 Elder I ordained 2 Seventies I set apart 5 councillors to Bishops, And 4 Missionaries I assisted in giving Endowments to 694 person I sealed 4 Adoptions, 2 children to Parents I Gave 2nd Anointing to 1, And Blessed 1 child
