Chester First presidency The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Dear Brethren, Your prompt reply of the 12 ^inst^ containing enclosure for 2 tons of hay, and the accompanying "the best wishes of the First presidency" gave me much pleasure. It awakened pleasing reminisences and seemded to send a thrill of recognition of the Old Stock, or Nauvoo Veterans. It seemed as though through Bro Woodruffe I could grasp the hand of prest Taylor who done so much for me at the Mt pleasant, and ZCMI episodes. From him seemed to come the thrill of remembrance from pres Young who done so much for me in Nauvoo and Salt Lake. From him to Bro Hyrum whose remarkable patriarchal blessing his comforting before me. From him up to Bro Joseph whose hand shake I enjoyed.
