LOA, WAYNE COUNTY, UTAH President Wilford Woodruff. Salt Lake City Dear Brother, Elder John C. Jacobs. of the Teasdale ward in this stake of Zion is callded on a mission, and expects to start about next april. Now one of the Counsellors of Bp. Coleman of Teasdale has been called on a mission to Great Britan, and is now in his field of labor, thus leaving a vacancy in the Bishopric. Would it be consistent, and agreeable to your feelings if Brother Jacobs was wanted to fill the vacancy in the Bishop- ric to have him released from his mission for that purpose. We have not said anything to Bro Coleman about it, but feel that Bro Jacobs would be a good counsellor, providing his labors could be had Awaiting your reply we remain your Brethren Willis E. Our delay in forwarding same has been caused by tardiness of some of the Bps. in sending list from their wards. The three wards not rep- orted have no property on hand.
