Salt Lake City, Utah, Bro Wilfred Woodruff City Dear Sir I do not hardly know how to ask you what I want too But neceitary forces me to it. will you try to give me employment. I cannot work hard because I am leaded. I am only 23 years old and have got a widowed mother and two sisters to support and I am out of work if you can give me a Job nightwacthing or anything that I can do I refere you to Mr J. H. Whalon, or to my Bishop Bro Barton of the 19 ward if you cannot give me a position can you be the means of me getting work for. my mothers & my sisters sake. I have tried hard to get work but as the old saying is, a man must have a friend to get work nowadays, we are in very poor curcumstances but I do not like to complain to anyone. I have not had work to pay my Tithing. I would like to get a position as nightwacthman I have done that work and can give good references hopeing you will do your best for me and awaiting your reply I beg to remain yours for success your bro in the gospel Ed Jordan over
