Letter from Charles Ora Card, 8 November 1897
Prests Wilford Woodruff Geo Q Cannon Joseph F. Smith Dear Brethren You will notice that we report 700 head of Cattle & 100 calves However from information I recd from the Herdmans ^to day^ think the calves will reach about 200 head. I have the herd in such a shape it is keeping up the payments of Church lands here and should we decrease them we will have to draw on the church for part of the next pay- ment. My reason for mentioning this is, Bp. Preston has Ordered me to sell 2 or 300 head.
