President Wilford Woodruff,
Dear brother your letter came to
hand on the 19 instant asking me
to take a mMission to the Southern
States if I had no reasonable obsticale
I can say that the main obsticle
is lack of an edacation I am not
very well qualified for a missionary
but with the help of the Lord
I will go and do the best I can.
for I believe this to be the work
of the Lord. Your brother in
