Transcript
On December 19, 1841 Wilford Woodruff recorded some time that he spent with Heber C. Kimball and Joseph Smith. He wrote,
“In the evening I met at Joseph's the Seer & heard a discourse delivered by Elder Kimball. He opened by prayer, read a chapter in the Book of Mormon & spoke as he was led by the Spirit of God. He spoke of the parable of Jeremiah, of the clay in the hands of the potter: All clay that formed well in the hands of the potter & was pliable was a vessel of honor. All that are pliable in the hands of God and are obedient to the commands of God are vessels of honor & God will receive them.”
