After Alma taught the people near the Waters of Mormon, they wanted so badly to enter into a covenant relationship with God that in Mosiah 18:11 “they clapped their hands for joy, and exclaimed: This is the desire of our hearts.” They knew that making covenants would lead to their eternal happiness and exaltation if they were faithful. 

If we keep our promises with the Lord, He will always bless us with His strength and a greater capacity to do His will. He will bless us to be happy in this life and in the life to come. President Wilford Woodruff taught, “We can enter into the glory of God, be face to face with the Heavenly Father, if we keep the covenants.”

Our covenants are incredible gifts from God that provide guidance, peace, and so much more when we are faithful to Him.
