Transcript

On October 25, 1891 Wilford Woodruff bore his testimony and defended the recent Manifesto about plural marriage. He wrote,

“I wish to make the following remarks upon the principle of Revelation. Some had thought that
Revelation had ceased, But this is not the case. The Lord is with us & gives us Revelation. In the 68th Section of the Book of Doctrine & Covenants we are informed that when men speak as they are moved upon by the Holy Ghost it is the word of the Lord & Revelation. I have Received a Revelation and a commandment From the Lord. Those who will give attention to it shall have the Holy Ghost to be with them to inspire them to answer that question for themselves and the Lord has promised that the Answer will be to all alike.”

Wilford Woodruff encouraged the Saints to pray about the Manifesto and listen to the Holy Ghost to receive their own confirmation of the revelation. President Nelson has also encouraged us to do this.

When is a time you have prayed to receive testimony of revelation?
