Alma Porter
Alma Porter (1834-1903) was born 15 Dec. 1834 in Van Buren Co., Missouri. He was the son of Chauncy Warriner Porter and Amy Sumner. He married Minerva Adaline Deuel in Nov. 1858 in Centerville, Davis Co., Utah Territory; widowed 10 Feb. 1873. He married Sarah Jane Carter on 10 Nov. 1882. He was baptized in Apr. 1842. He responded to President Wilford Woodruff on behalf of his son Orson Merit Porter when Orson was called to serve a mission in 1890. He died 27 Oct. 1903 and was buried in Porterville, Morgan Co., Utah.
