John Meeks
John Meeks (Meek) (1806-aft. 1853) was christened 22 Dec. 1806 in Suckley, Worcestershire, England. He was the son of Samuel Meeks and Sarah Brutton. He married Elizabeth Jones on 27 Dec. 1834 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England; widowed before 12 Aug. 1853. He married Elizabeth South on 17 Feb. 1854 aboard the ship Windermere during their journey from England to the United States. He was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 5 May 1840 in Leigh, Worcestershire, England and was included in Wilford’s record of individuals baptized in England in 1840. He died after 23 Feb. 1854.
