Moses Thatcher
1842-1909
Moses Thatcher (1842-1909) was born 2 Feb. 1909 in Sangamon Co., Illinois. He was the son of Hezekiah Thatcher and Alena Kitchen. He married Celestia Ann Farr on 7 Apr. 1861 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 29 Dec. 1856. He served in church positions with Wilford Woodruff from about 1860 to 1898, and he hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight in Logan, Cache Co., Utah Territory many times. He died 21 Aug. 1909 in Logan.
