March 06, 1835 ~ Friday

Spent the day in labouring &
writing a letter to my parents I had a
view in this place of some dangerous
reptiles which was two sandapeads [centipedes]
and three Terrantiallers [tarantulas] their
touch upon human flesh is considered
immediate death the Arkansaw abound
with them esspecially among the rocks
