June 13, 1888 ~ Wednesday

13 A hand pointing to the right I signed 45 Recommends, I received 40 Letters,
I wrote 11 Letters 10 public, 1 to Jaques I was in council
with the Twelve all day we had present two of our Lawyiers
F S Richards & Legrand Young we were trying to lay a
plan to come to a settlement with Peters & Dyer upon
our Church Law suit

Canada Prest. Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City Utah u. s. a. Dear Brother Your most excellent letter of the 25th ult. just to hand and perused and reread with great satisfaction. It gave me great joy to learn of the dedication of another Temple to the name of the most Hhigh. The out pourings of the spirit and manifestations of the power of God ^witnessed^ at the dedicatory services are very encouraging to the saints at home and abroad at this trying hour. It certainly strengthens the faith of the people to witness Fathers acknowledgemt and aceptance of their offering and it certainly will add to our strength on both sides of the veil. My prayer is that, that Holy sanctua- ry may be preserved to fill the pur- pose of its erection and should the greed of our enemies lead them to meddle with our temples, I feel
