^ ^ We drove to Sunset I received 3 letters from John Taylor
M Thatcher & S Roskelly & $5 in Money I spent the Evening in council

November 5, 1879 ~ Wednesday

5 I received a letter to day from Br Johnson at the ferry
Brother Lot Smith returned from the Mountains to day we
spent the Evening in conversation The Teacher visited me

November 6, 1879 ~ Thursday

6 I received a letter from J Jaques {He said that} J. W. Y {was [illegible shorthand].} I spent
the day in writing I wrote 4 letters to A M Tenney of 8 pages
to E Snow, J D T McAllister & J. G. Bleak

November 7, 1879 ~ Friday

7 I wrote 3 letters to J. Taylor, L. John Nuttall, & J Jaqes

November 8, 1879 ~ Saturday

8 I received a note from J. W. Young At Moan Coppy He
thought he would be at Moan Coppy I received a letter from Brigham
Young I wrote 3 letters To Brigham Young, Phebe & Jaques it was a
cold windy day. I filed all of Lot Smiths Letters today, one
Package of 15 in number of President Y[ou]ngs letters which I
read and were more precious than gold and a package
of 10 of President Taylors since he had been President of the
Church all such docum[en]ts are worthy of Preservation

November 9, 1879 ~ Sunday

9. Sunday I received 3 letters to day from John Taylor
Wilson & Phebe I wrote 2 letters to Phebe and Jaques I
held a meeting with the two settlem[en]ts at Sunset I spok 35 M[inutes]
followed By several of the Brethren it was a cold windey day

November 10, 1879 ~ Monday

10. ^ ^ I received a letter this morning from Samuel Roskelly
containing $5 from Thomas E Ricks I wrote Letters to Br
Roskelly of 12 Pages giving him an account of my visit to
the 7 villages of the Oribe & Moquis I also wrote a letter to Sarah
advising her to send her children to school

I dreamed last night of seeing my Father he was dressed in
white robes I was myself as were many others I saw Thomas Bullock the same
