They have been in darkness for ages, without a man in- spired by the revelations of Heaven to teach them, and ignorance, sin and in- iquity abound; we have the society of prophets and apostles who reveal to us the principles and laws of life. It is the right of him who presides over the church to dictate us in all things per- taining to the building up and guidance of that great kingdom that Daniel said should be built up in the last days.
