Journal Entry

September 08, 1897 ~ Wednesday

Sept 8th I had a good night, slept well. I told Emma of my contemplated
trip to Portland. Both she & Alice wanted to go with me, but I told them I was
only going for a short time and on a very quiet trip and for a rest. They did
not feel well about it. I went to the office today & was busy there until
I returned home.
